Lindstrom Machine provides CNC machining services for your castings.  Our customers provide castings in materials such as aluminum, cast steel, cast iron, stainless steel, castings,  forgings and various exotic metals.  Our CNC machining operations which include turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and various other precise machining operations.    

Castings can be found throughout our industrial society of component parts.  Typical castings requiring machining include valve parts, automotive parts, hydraulic machinery, mining machinery, construction machinery and pipeline parts.  Lindstrom Machine excels at machining services for prototype and medium volume production runs just as well as handling large casting volume production runs. 

Castings and forgings are used when it is not cost effective to machine bar and plate stock, or to machine from various other raw material sources.  Although the initial investment for tooling may be quite significant, the repeated machining costs of using a casting, as compared to using raw material sources, may prove to be quite significant.  Castings provide numerous other advantages also, such as repeatable surface qualities for aesthetics.      

CNC Machining of castings and forgings differ from common materials such as machining bar stock in that these items typically require a jig or fixture to hold the casting for machining purposes.  Our services include designing and manufacturing this fixture assembly as well as to maintain it in our material handling storage facilities as your convenience.
