Lindstrom
Machine is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country ... the
cradle of the Germanic principals of precision and quality in
workmanship. We have been in operation since 1950 ... approaching
our 60th anniversary of serving our community. To be
direct, to last as long as 60 years in this business ... you've got to be doing
something right.
Lindstrom Machine is a family owned small
business. This family witnessed three (3) family-generations of machinists
that have matured under a gentle guidance of persevering wisdom. We have
evolved to understand that the future of America is in its backbone,
which today represents the small businesses of America ... something that we've
taken a strong personal interest in developing for many years.

It wasn't so long ago that Alan
Lindstrom, who joined his father's organization back in 1955, was extending his
hand outward to businesses throughout the South Central PA region only to take
over the organization as president back in 1995. Alan, like his sons that
followed, worked tirelessly throughout his life for his family, with a kind and
gentle smile, to assist his fellow business members. Many of the businesses that
Alan helped to get their start in this community have maintained their strong bonds
with Lindstrom Machine to
this very day. We shall all miss Alan's special light that cut a deep swath
throughout our
community.

Robert
C. Lindstrom, the founder of Lindstrom Machine Shop, Inc. began his operations
in the auspicious environment of the basement of his home with just a few
machines. As Robert's business grew beyond the bounds of his
basement, he had no choice but to build a garage to house his expanding
business. With such a history of hard work and dedication, it's
little wonder why his son Al had such a kind affection for seeking-out and
helping new fledgling businesses ... to watch them grow in time.
This alone was a special benefit that could not be measured in dollars and
cents. In 1956, Lindstrom Machine moved to its present location on
West Orange Street in York, PA. As you can imagine, there has been
many changes since the birth of our founders dream, but we've seen these
changes as challenges. Each day brings us new friends, new
relationship and new opportunities to help maintain the health of US
manufacturing ... something we can all be proud of ....
